Temple Beth Jacob, in New Hampshire's capital city of Concord, is a welcoming and inclusive community that stands on the pillars of study, worship and acts of loving kindness.
One of the matriarch's of our Temple family has died. Ada Nachmanson was a member of one of the founding families of Temple Beth Jacob. She passed away this morning, January 7, at Pleasant View Retirement Community.
The funeral will be this Sunday, January 10, at 2:00pm at Temple Beth Jacob. Cantor Claire Metzger will officiate in Rabbi Klein's absence. Ada's sister, Evelyn Cling Knapp, and their family, will receive well wishers at TBJ immediately following the services. If you would like to contribute food, please bring dairy/pareve snacks (i.e., fruit, cheese, crackers, cookies, etc.) and leave them in the Temple kitchen prior to the beginning of the service. Ada leaves behind her loving and devoted sister, Evelyn Cling Knapp.
If you would like to visit Evelyn, she is in room 419 at Pleasant View and would appreciate brief visits from friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Evelyn, her niece Joyce Hill, and their entire extended family.
All are welcome at Temple Beth Jacob worship and celebrations. Shabbat worship is held every Saturday morning at 9:30 am, and every Friday evening at various times based on the season. A monthly family service led by a religious school class is preceded by a Shabbat dinner during the school year.
TBJ welcomes new families and individuals to join us in continuing the tradition of the close knit and energetic community we are today.
A special Thank you for all of the generous Donations to TBJ. see Monthly Bulletin
